Rochester Crusaders' brass consultant, has over 35 years experience in drum corps and public school education. In drum corps he has worked as a brass technician, caption head or brass/program consultant for many units, including Boston Crusaders, Garfield Cadets, 27th Lancers, North Star, Colts, Syracuse Brigadiers and Connecticut Hurricanes.
In public education he has taught the former New England champion Norwood, MA. marching band, concert band and jazz ensemble and the champion Biddeford, ME. band. He is currently director of bands at Cape Elizabeth, ME. High School, where he supervises a program of 150 students, including three concert bands, three jazz ensembles and three jazz combos.
He is former president of the Maine Band Directors Association and former executive board member of the Massachusetts Instrumental Conductors Association, New England Scholastic Band Directors Association and International Association of Jazz Educators, Massachusetts unit.
Tom is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, with degrees in music education and master of music in wind conducting.
Tom in 1994 was elected to the Massachusetts Drum Corps Hall of Fame.
